Climate change has wrecked air travel on many occasions lately, and if any lesson is to be learned, our government should start laying down the ground work for high-speed rail. Over the last few years, thousands of flights in the United States and Europe have been cancelled due to extreme weather. Too much snow and poor visibility forced airplanes to remain on the ground.
