DOT Philippines wins best NTO at South India Travel Awards

Philippines Tourism won the “Best National Tourism Organization” for 2013 at the South India Travel Awards held in Hyderabad on March 27, 2014. The award recognises the outstanding contribution of Philippines Tourism in promoting its products through its branding campaign and roadshows in South India, particularly in the cities of Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. (Source: Congress of the Philippines) A lawmaker has filed a bill that seeks to declare the Capisaan Cave System in the Municipality of Kasibu, Province of Nueva Vizcaya as a tourism zone. Deputy Speaker Carlos Padilla (Lone District, Nueva Vizcaya) filed House Bill 4127 mandating the Department of Tourism (DOT) to accord priority development to the cave by declaring it a tourist destination....
